Seashore Safari in Rang 6

We spent a fantastic day at Sandycove Beach with Mona from Marine Dimensions Ireland. The 2 6th classes went out across the rockpools on a habitat study as part of our science work for the month of May. We found 4 different types of crabs, starfish, prawns, hermit crabs, periwinkles, limpets, a blenny, a pike fish and lots of sea anemone. Fortunately there was no rain today so we had great fun and a few of the girls even managed to fit in a little sunbathing 😉
